Are you ready to give your training some new direction and drive?
If you are like us here at ATS we are sure you get frustrated with feeling like you're not making progress with your training. Somehow you just can't find the time to plan what you are going to do properly, so you just go to the gym and spin the wheels with no real direction. You begin to get frustrated with training and lose your love of going to the gym, or you even struggle to go to the gym at all.
If that sounds like you then we are here to help. At ATS we take pride in finding developing a training regime that works for you, and your lifestyle. Not against it.
We take time to talk with you about what your individual goals are, how often you can manage to train, what you currently do for your training, and produce a structured and achievable scheduled that is targets to allow you to attain your goals whilst also enjoying training.

After this initial consultation, all you have to worry about is actually getting the work done. We will send you everything you need to do training wise, a long with tutorial videos, descriptions and explanations of why you are doing what you are doing. We promise that you will be left in no doubt of the how and why of ever single aspect of your program. No longer will you just do things just because coach said so.

After training with us you will feel a sense of accomplishment, empowerment and less stressed out in your day to day life. No longer will you sit at the end of a training block feeling like you busted your ass every time you were in the gym but you got nowhere, no longer will you fall off the wagon halfway through a training block.
In short, we got your back. You just focus on training hard.

What sets ATS apart? |
We truly care about each and every one of our clients and the community that we build between everyone. This is why all of our clients regardless of whether they are one to one PT clients, in our basic training package, or online training package, we invite them all to our regular community events. Whether that be our gym BBQs, nights out, or game nights on a Friday.
Our community of clients is truly something special to us, they are a great group of people and we are friends with every single one of them. Our community is our proudest achievement at ATS and something we take great care to nurture and improve on.

Training with us is unique, due to our multi-discipline approach. Both Will and John have spent time in several different sports and training environments, in both coaching, playing, competing, and organisational roles. We bring this diversity to our training programs and with it a true understanding of what we are asking you to do. We guarantee that there is nothing in a program that we haven't done before, or have currently programmed for ourselves.
Sticking to the program |
Adherence is defined in the training world as how well someone stuck to a certain plan. The success of any plan no matter how brilliant depends on how much an individual completed. For example if you have the best training plan ever conceived, but you only complete 25% of it as it was too complicated and required you to train more than you could, it is effectively useless. Where as on the other hand a far more sustainable plan that you can complete 100% of will advance you towards your goals far more consistently and for a longer period of time overall.
We see adherence as having three aspects to it.
Firstly that training is manageable. For example most people out there struggle to get to the gym more than three or four times a week, it would therefore be insane to write a program for someone to train seven to ten times a week. We instead opt to begin at just two or three sessions a week and work from there. It is easier to add more than to have to take away.
Secondly training has to be fun. At least at some point. this aspect changes slightly depending on goals, and there will always be parts of training (or anything in life) that you wont enjoy. However it is important that you enjoy at least some of it. Not just because you will complete the plan, but also because you will train harder doing things that you enjoy in comparison to things you hate.
Lastly, there has to be results of some kind. This is why we check in weekly with our clients to ensure they are on the right track, and to look at their training numbers to make sure we are progressing where we want. We have lost count on the amount of times clients have been feeling bad about their training, until we take a look at the big picture and see the progress over months not weeks. Then we see huge progress over the training markers we have selected to look at.
